Demonstrating yet again Trinseo's innovation and top performance in Synthetic Rubber, Pirelli has awarded the company with its Supplier Award for the third time since Trinseo's formation in 2010.
Hayati Yarkadas, Senior Vice President & Business President Performance Materials, and Samer Al Jabi, Global Business Director of Synthetic Rubber, accepted the award at Pirelli's award ceremony in Milan on September 8.
In recognition of outstanding service, Pirelli presents awards to a chosen few of its 9500 suppliers. This year's accolade recognizes Trinseo's continued success in providing top-class service and performance in synthetic rubber products, underlining the company's role as a strategic leader in this market. The company in particular highlighted Trinseo's Solution-Styrene Butadiene Rubber (S-SBR), which is a critical component of performance tires, which are the fastest growing category of tires globally.
"We are proud to be honored again by such a valued customer as Pirelli. This award doesn't come by chance, rather it's a testament to Trinseo's outstanding synthetic rubber products. Time and again, we are recognized as delivering the best to customers. We hope that our working relationship continues to grow, through our collaboration and innovation, alongside Pirelli's expansion into new regions," Yarkadas said.
Winners are selected by Pirelli's purchasing department, from a variety of suppliers across the globe, (e.g., software management, raw materials and training). The selection is based on tight specific criteria, including sustainability, quality, levels of service, and innovation.
Al Jabi added, "The Supplier Award is a very well celebrated event in the industry. Trinseo was awarded again based on its excellence in innovation and top service performance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our technical experts, production teams and in particular our Pirelli account management team, who contributed to this success."
